Romance [US]

WHEN THINGS ARE BETTER EP 2005

Combining the musical urgency and artistic ambition of their early post-punk predecessors,ROMANCE creates a sound that is at once familiar and strikingly fresh. Their music blends dark, catchy and anthemic songs with an intelligent and unique ideology. Forming in late 2005, ROMANCE struck a nerve with Seattle music fans. KEXP, one of the nationsbest independent radio stations, quickly jumped on the bands debut EP, WHEN THINGS ARE BETTER,putting it in regular rotation. In March 2006 readers of THE STRANGER, Seattle's premier music and artsweekly, voted ROMANCE as one of the top four up and coming bands in the city. In September of 2006, ROMANCE was invited to play the legendary Bumbershoot Festival.Being included on a bill with such acts as Blondie, Spoon, and New Pornographers.ROMANCE'S aspirations do not stop at the musical level, as their name implies a deep seated yearning for a better time.

It was said that the band changed their name to "The Tailors", but no further information.
