Flowers for Luci [US]

The Flowers for Luci was spawned in the late '90s as a studio project and were quickly opening shows in Atlanta. The release of debut single "Chemical" received favorable rotation on Album88 a local college radio station. In 2003, a short tour of the Northeast was booked and was completely cancelled on the eve of their departure due to a personnel issue. This event was so devastating indeed that they decided to dissolve the band. However, due to the enormous amount of fan email that they've received these past years, they've decided to install a few unreleased songs for those who still care.

BloodPenny [US]

Emanating from the smoldering crater left by their debut demo, BloodPenny has the firepower enough to wake the dead and the groove to get them dancing. Coffin, LaGruelle, and na Bodhrán are all core members from two of the most highly regarded Los Angeles bands of the gothic and post-punk rock genres in the past twenty years. After a hiatus from live performance and recording, the three selected Renfield, a musical prostitute who's collaborated with artists both famous and infamous in the styles of pop, punk, jazz, avant-garde, minimalist analog industrial, and some that haven't yet been figured out, to assist them with their particular flavor of tonal terror. The Stooges, The Sisters of Mercy, TSOL, The Psychedelic Furs, and The Damned are among the acts referenced in the BloodPenny sound.

Flowers Of Romance [Grc]

Flowers Of Romance was one of the most successful groups to emerge from the Greek rock scene of the 1990s. They started more or less as a pure punk band, then moved closer to traditional gothic rock with the album Pleasure & The Pain and then exploded into a gazillion of styles, combining missionesque riffs, gloomy atmospheres, and electronic pulses with a newly-found love for jazz, industrial, and spaghetti-western film scores.

The band was originally formed on February 2nd, 1981 by members Mike Pougounas-vocals (later will perform keyboards and synthesizers but played the bass when needed), Tasos Dimitriadis-bass and Costas Venos-guitar and were named after Sid Vicious's band (of the pre-Sex Pistols era). Recruiting George Venizelos on the drums, they started gigging regularly and quickly gained a number of followers in the punk rock scene and the university circles with their a la Dead Boys/Lords Of The New Church style.

Discography:
1990 - Dorian Grey
1992 - Love Means Death EP
1993 - 7" single
1993 - Pleasure & the Pain vinyl
1996 - Brilliant Mistakes

Flowers broke up in 1998 when Mike Pougounas left the band to launch both the industrial goth band Nexus and his own record label, Cyberdelia Records. Both, Nexus and Cyberdelia Records no longer exist since 2005. A new band was formed in 2006, by ex- Flowers and Nexus members called New Zero God, including Flowers Of Romance matterial in their playlist.

Tell-Tale Heartbreakers [US]

S/T 2007 TTHB Music

The Tell Tale Heartbreakers emerged from the Bay Areas underground music scene in 2004. Over the course of one year, they sculpted their own sound, tearing through the post-punk music scene with tense, guitar and bass-driven songs that reflect the darker side of rock and roll.It is hard to pigeonhole The Heartbreakers sound. To pin the band to one genre is nothing but reductive. Their influences run deep, encompassing everything from Gothic Rock, New Wave, Post Punk and Psychobilly.

Hearts Fail [US]

The Empty Promise - 2004

Hearts Fail is the culmination of the post-punk movement blended perfectly with the melodic and moody sounds of the cold wave genre. One listen will evoke images of the 80s, but Hearts Fail is still very relevant in todays music scene.
The breakup of two rival bands in the Texas underground scene led to the birth of Hearts Fail in early 2003. Since its debut in July 2003, Hearts Fail has accomplished an incredible amount in a relatively short period of time. Besides headlining festivals, being included on nationally-released compilation albums, and receiving radio airplay, Hearts Fail released its first album, The Empty Promise in the summer of 2004.

*The band is probably recording their 2nd album now.

WHEN THINGS ARE BETTER EP 2005

Combining the musical urgency and artistic ambition of their early post-punk predecessors,ROMANCE creates a sound that is at once familiar and strikingly fresh. In September of 2006, ROMANCE was invited to play the legendary Bumbershoot Festival.Being included on a bill with such acts as Blondie, Spoon, and New Pornographers.ROMANCE'S aspirations do not stop at the musical level, as their name implies a deep seated yearning for a better time.

Glamour Shot [US]

Glamour Shot is a post-punk band from the Phoenix, Arizona area. Formed in 2007 by Tom Bradford, Scott Allison, and Ben Brucato. The present lineup also includes Jason Parnell and Jeff Goesling.Glamour Shot doesn't believe in 'quality' as it is generally defined by the 'in-crowd'. The sound is raw, dirty, technically inept. The vocals are tin canny, and sung poorly. The lyrics are written in a way that only a third grader could appreciate. They don't have a 'message'. They don't have a 'style'. They simply have this overwhelming need to make asses of themselves in public.

Black Swan Lane [US]

A Long Way From Home - 2007

Black Swan Lane is a project founded by Jack Sobel of The Messengers who had the incredible pleasure of playing with Mark Burgess of The Chameleons on some live shows in the Southeastern part of the US. The project is formed with multiple band members including Mark Burgess, Yves Altana, Achim Faerber, Jack Sobel & John Kolbeck of The Messengers, Kwasi Asante who played on the last big Chameleons tour and album and a few other folks who provided some backup sounds. After the live shows, the “experiments” that were taped in the studio started to sound like something that should be not only recorded but also heard and appreciated. There is no real theme that needed to be followed during recordings, but instead, a true evolution of sounds and appreciation for all types of music. Songs recorded were meant not to grow old and stale but to give an impression of true feeling and spirit. Memories of sitting around with friends in awe at the sound of The Chameleons and The Sun & The Moon was a true inspiration of getting this unique sound back out there. "A Long Way From Home" was worked on between concerts in 2006 and on into 2007. The project is both original and diverse, bringing many cultures and influences together as one.

Schadenfreude [Aus]
